Commercial vs Residential Products

  

Residential and commercial products share many features but there are clear differences in the requirements for the different applications.  One of the biggest requirements for residential products is noise.  Residential products are required to be effective as well as quiet.  Loud fans are unacceptable and have no place in the home.  Now on the other hand, commercial and industrial products are primarily judged on their effectiveness.  Many times cooling is required to keep equipment and machinery up and running so the effectiveness of the products is most critical.  The products are also usually operated in louder environments compared to a home theater where at times during a movie you are expected to be able to hear a pin drop.

  

Our products have been designed with both markets in mind.  While we have some products dedicated to commercial and industrial applications, most of our products are also ideal for commercial applications.  One of the bigger strategies to making our products quiet involves the use of a universal power supply.  The power supply provides variable voltage settings which in turn controls the speed of the fans.  This provides adjusting the products to balance effectiveness and noise and the normal operating range is between 5 and 9V DC.  The solution for commercial products is simple, the operating range will be 9 to 12V DC.
