These products are only intended for use in commercial applications. These products use the same housings but the fans are significantly more aggressive than our standard products.  In the world of fans and blowers, 'aggressive' simply means that the fans spin faster and move more air but they also create more noise. This is why all of our 'standard' fans are specially manufactured to balance fan speed with noise and this is a very delicate balance!  A fundamental requirement for residential products is that they are quiet and we guaranty that our standard products can be run quietly but we do not make this claim for the industrial products.  Our industrial versions have been installed in equipment on shop floors and other environments where cooling is a necessity but noise is not a consideration.

  

It should also be noted that the standard units can still be run more aggressively as the normal operating voltage is between 5 and 9 volts but can be run at 12 volts for more aggressive cooling when noise is not as much of an issue.  In other words, you are not getting extra 'bang for your buck' by purchasing these units.
