Please read the full instructions as this is just the highlights and key points!
Installation with this unit is actually very easy. It just sits on a shelf or component so select a proper location, before installing the unit, insert the fan and sensor wire and ensure they are seated properly (press in the tab firmly and then insert the wire, once inserted, give a little tug). Testing the unit prior to installation is good to confirm each is properly installed and seated.
Ensure that the sensor is not simply placed on a component, it should be located to read the air temperature, not component surface temp. The sensor can also be placed in the path of airflow.
Multiple fans can be connected and controlled using Y, Tri and Extension Cables (purchased separately). Make certain not to exceed 2A.
For programming, auto mode should be used for the control type and also for fan speed. The only things should program is the On set point, the High Speed Set Point, and the Alarm. This means press the Programming button and the first setting is the On setpoint, the next is the High Speed and the 3rd is Alarm. Set around 80 for rooms and closets, between 90 and 100 for use inside cabinets and enclosures and 100-110F for secondary cooling. Alarm is normally set between 115 and 125F.
If wish to use the contact closures, ensure to use the proper location for NO and NC. The relays will be activated on alarm and then will 'release' when the alarm is deactivated.
