Due to the fact this is a pretty basic system, the installation is very simple.
Cabinet Vent. Using a hole saw (3 1/8" for tighter fit but 3 1/4" will also work) cut the hole in the side of the cabinet preferably higher in the cabinet and towards the back but ensure there will not be any issues with clearance once installed. Once the best location is selected and hole is cut, insert the unit into the hole, ensure it's level, and then secure with the provided screws. One tip is may want to plug it into the y-cable prior prior to installing the vent.
DUO Unit. This is intended to simply sit on top of a heat producing component so attach the provided rubber feet and select a position on the desired component.
Temperature Controller. The controller should typically be placed higher in the cabinet but do not set it directly onto a component as it may heat up too quickly and may never turn off since since components stay warm even when off.
Power Supply. The power supply is variable voltage and since are using the Basic Controller, the fan speed can be controlled by selecting different voltages. The most common setting is 9V but can use 7V for quieter operation or 12V for more aggressive cooling but at 12V the fans may be audible. If the fans are too loud, turn down one setting.
Wiring. Most wiring uses the 2-pin connector while some components use a 2.1 coax connector which should be provided and needs to be connected to the 2-pin connector end. When plugging wires together, always ensure to align Tip to + or + to +. See the diagram in the pics for different configurations as generally the temperature controller plugs inline between the power supply and fan units.
