Superior Fans
The Fans. This is probably the biggest differentiator from the competition. Technically the category of products we offer is 'fan-based cooling and ventilation systems'. We recognized from the very beginning that the fans are the most important factor with the physical products. We chose magnetic bearing fans as they are superior to ball bearing fans and we are the only company not using old school ball bearing fans. Just check the specs, everyone else uses ball bearing fans! The oddity is we're connected to the technology industries but yet these companies chose to use antiquated technology and especially when it comes to residential cooling applications where noise is a critical factor.
Yes, if you look at our fans and you look at competitor's fans, noise specs will be close BUT, that is mainly the noise created by the turbulence of the fan and it is a spec of a new fan. Now if there was a category for bearing noise here's what you would find. Year 1, very comparable, Year 2, ball bearing fans, slight bearing noise, magnetic bearings, zero. Year 3, BB fans, increasingly noticeable bearing noise, magnetic bearings, zero... The fact is that ball bearing fans progressively get louder over time while magnetic bearing fans remain consistently silent. Ball bearing and magnetic fans last around the same number of hours but what does that matter if you can't stand the bearing noise at around the middle of the rated life of the fan?
Using quality fans is also not just about noise, with being business for 15 years we get to see first hand how specs meet the real world and while all fans are generally rated to last 5-7 years, we've seen our fans make it well past 10 years before needing replacement.
