This unit is ideal as a spot cooler for equipment which is important if not critical for removing pockets of heat that may exists above and around components. Heat pockets naturally form and can exist even in open areas/shelving or when ventilation systems are deployed to reduce heat pockets in general. The pockets can still form and exist simply due to how air is moving around the components and system as a whole. Spot cooling is very simple but can save equipment and prevent thermal shutdowns.
Purchasing Options. This unit can be purchased by itself or in packages which include the fan unit, grill, and power supply. The available grill color options are Black, White, Almond, Gray, Silver, Tan, Brown and Bronze. Wood grills options are also available. The unit is also available in various packages as well. This unit features the screw-less and lower profile inset round grills but the unit can also be used with the traditional rectangular surface mount grills.
Harsh Environment Option. This unit is also available with a fan engineered with an industry leading IP68 rating for harsh environments which is ideal for outside, wet, humid or especially dirty and dusty areas. The units are also effective in high altitudes and in extreme temperatures. It should be noted that harsh environment does not mean better quality or longevity, just enhanced engineering and production to protect against these environmental situations. In practical terms this means that unless truly require the added protection, there is no reason to purchase harsh environment fans.
High Velocity Option. This unit by design is intended to be both effective and quiet at the same time. This balance is critical in residential applications, in board rooms, lecterns and various other applications but often times and especially in the commercial and industrial environments noise is not as much of a concern as airflow. For this reason we offer with unit with a High Velocity fan which moves considerably more air.
